Tower at Rivington Pike

After deciding to see how far I could drive down quite a rocky, dirty track I parked the car and walked / climbed up to the top of Rivington Pike, only to find this tower. It’s clearly been bricked up, but it would have been interesting to have seen what it was like when it was first built and used for its intended purpose. On the lovely sunny Sunday afternoon when this was taken there were dozens of people at the top and after five or ten minutes of waiting for people to get out of the photo I ended up taking a photo with just one person in it and then cloned him out.
