Welcome to the Albert Dock

The sun had just set over the River Mersey and I was walking back to my car to pick up my tripod when I decided that the “Welcome to Albert Dock” sign was worth a quick snap. I focused in on the sign but thought it was a little boring on its own. As is usually the case when I look through the view finder, I kept zooming out, and out until I got what I was looking for. The above photograph not only shows the sign but one of the docks traditional buildings behind. This is the home of coffee bars, restaurants, apartments and of course the famous Beatles Story Museum.
