Two Fish at Number 35

Wandering around the streets of a small fishing town on the coast of Portugal with my camera, I started to notice that almost every home had some for of tile or porcelain artwork along with the house number. Some were very traditional Portuguese hand painted tiles but as you can see above, these are two hand painted porcelain fish. I’m sure the owner of number 35 would be able to tell us a story of how and why these two fish came to represent his or her dwelling, maybe not but you never know!
