Banker Mark on Motorbike at Dusk

This is one of two photographs that became my final project for my degree, which I finished earlier this month. It was taken in a Manchester city centre location very near to my flat at dusk. I used a single Nikon SB-800 flash to light both the paperwork and Mark’s face. This flash was placed on the handlebar behind the paperwork. I wanted to get the background as dark as possible, so had to keep dialing down both the exposure and the power of the flash. The paperwork and tie create the link between Mark’s work life in the bank and his passion for motorbikes.
