Castlerig Stone Circle close-up

Castlerig is one of the half dozen places in the Lakes that attracts a lot of photographers, especially at those golden times of the day (dawn and dusk). The problem here was not only did I go to this location with two of my photographic friends, but we spent over two hours here and saw at least 30 other photographers come and go. This can become a problem in that I didn’t want other people or tripods on my photo or their shadows. I think I managed it reasonably well here, there is definitely a photographer behind the big stone in the foreground and in one of the shadows to the left of the image.
