Alston Countryside Landscape

Alston is the town highest above sea level in Britain and is situated in the north east corner of Cumbria. A few miles away from the Lake District and a few miles south of Hadrian’s Wall. I stayed in a farm house just behind where this image was captured for a little less than a week. Although I did plenty of trips from here to the Lakes and other interesting locations, I like the fact that this was the view across the road.
