Red Telephone Box

For the past month I have been photographing red telephone boxes. I wanted to put a photograph of one on the contact page, liven things up a little. Yesterday I was photographing Willow Pool Garden Centre and took the above photograph of a very old and battered looking British red telephone box. It is sad that BT replaced many of them with modern looking glass cubes.

Obviously the one featured here wasn’t in working condition, but was an interesting realic of the past. For my readers from foriegn parts, there are still a large number of these red phone boxes in use around the country (a few of which I have photographed), but I thought the weathered look of this particular one made for a much more interesting photo.
