Sunset on Alnmouth, Northumberland

I took the above photograph in June of last year on a weeks photography in Northumberland. We were staying less than a mile away from Alnmouth harbour, but it was only once that I made the effort to go down there with the camera (because there is so much in this part of England that begs for attention from my camera).
The above photograph is in my top three favourite photographs of 2007 and is something that I have been saving and saving. The original plan was to publish it on the day I launch a new online printing service I have planned, but this project is still in the works almost a year after I came up with that idea. So here it is and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. This photograph is printed and mounted above my desk as a nice big 18×12 inch print and in my opinion it looks fantastic.
So why publish this today? Well yesterday I finished my second year of my Design and Art Direction degree at Manchester Metropolitan University. What does that mean? Means the fun is over, it means the hard work is starting because this summer includes plans to develop my photography in different ways on a daily basis. Of course reading this, you will be the first to know about such developments and creative experiments. Enjoy and thanks for reading.
