St. Abbs Harbour, Scottish East Coast

St. Abbs is a small fishing village on the south east coast of Scotland, and it is extremely picturesque. The photograph above shows the harbour which today is used a lot by Scuba Divers as the sea around the village is unusually clear compared to the more silt-laden coastal waters further to the north or south. I was looking to post a photograph of Scotland and nearly pasted by this photograph, but when I stopped and looking careful it clearly shows the entrance to the harbour for boats. I would encourage you to click on the photo above to see a larger preview and look for this entrance yourself. From this angle it looks as it it would be almost impossible to navigate a boat around all the sharp looking rocks. Not something I would like to attempt, I dread to think that they do on dark winter evenings like today!
