Chemical Works at Northwich

When I was in Anderton taking photographs of the Anderton Boat Lift I saw this chemical works across the canal and thought it would make for an interesting photograph. Looking up at the boat lift (which was directly behind me) the afternoon sun was in completely the wrong place so I would either get a white bald sky or the a very dark, unexposed image of the boat lift. This is why position of the sun is very important in photography, it casts shadows in different places and greatly affects locations to take pictures from.
