Esk River small waterfalls near Stanley Ghyll by Ed O'Keeffe

I took the above photo the Saturday morning (4th November). It is a small section of the interesting Esk River as we were walking up to the Stanley Ghyll falls. Sadly, I had forgotten to take my tripod and mono-pod this weekend, but I managed to borrow my dads for this shoot. Strictly speaking I should have had the camera on a tripod to get the white water effects of using a slow shutter speed.

Lake District National Park in Sunshine with Stone wall and hills by Ed O'Keeffe

It would be typical that the day we arrive in the Lake District and the day we leave are the best days for nice lighting. The sun came out as soon as we got into the car to drive back to Manchester. We did stop about half a dozen times and surprisingly enough the photograph you see above is the first one that I took today. I usually find that the best photograph of the day is the last shot I take, but definitely not in this case.
