British Airways Plane – Manchester Airport

British Airways Plane - Manchester Airport by Ed OKeeffe

After last nights unsuccessful trip to the airport’s viewing area I went again, but this time about an hour or so earlier. It was open and was a lot bigger than I remember it being. I saw Concorde and numerous other aircraft on display. There were more people there than I expected but very few planes were taking off and landing. Maybe only half a dozen in the hour or so I spent there. Tonight’s sunset wasn’t quite as magical as last nights, and I could have done with a longer lens to get closer to the planes but I thought I would share this image with you.

Sunset over M56 – South Manchester

Today the weather was stunning. I live in Manchester so I expect it to rain quite a lot but tonight I was sat outside watching the sunset at nine o’clock in a t-shirt. Finally it feels like summer has arrived. I actually went to the Manchester Airport viewing area, which I have been meaning to do for well over a year. I live so close to the airport and feel that I should have some plane photographs. Well, I got there just before nine and the gates were being locked which was really disappointing. But when I turned back around to go home, I saw this!
